The 2nd January, the first working day of the school in the calender year 2019 began with a blissful note. The students were welcomed in a special assembly on the topic “COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS”. Sebastian and Maheswaran of class IX-D welcomed the gathering. Assembly commenced with the prayer song followed by a refreshing thought “COUNT THE GARDEN BY THE FLOWER NEVER BY THE LEAVES THAT FALL…  COUNT YOUR LIFE WITH SMILES AND NOT BY THE TEARS THAT ROLL… ”  presented by Sharon.  Vignesh of class IX-D presented the day’s news. Jevonte Miranda and Sebastian revealed their rhetorical skill on the theme. Mr.Oscar, Our Principal wished everyone a prosperous and blessed  year ahead. Finally Fr. Julians, Our Correspondent gave a graceful start to the New Year with the fervent prayer, seeking the blessings of the Divine on the Thomasian community.


Christmas day celebration was held on 6th of Dec-2018 with ardour and zeal in the  School premises. The entire school vibrated with the echoes of Christmas carols. The programme began with  a soulful prayer song. Jaffrina of class VI, welcomed the gathering. Speaking on the occasion, Rev.Fr.Merris Leo, wished the students and staff, and highlighted the importance of the festival. Our little ones showcased the Nativity Play on “THE THOUGHT THAT COUNTS”, followed by the mesmerizing voices of thomasian carollers…

     Delightful dancers of grade IV and V electrified the stage with breath-taking performance.
    The best thing about Christmas are the symbols and rituals associated with it. Students of grade VI, VII and VIII enacted as Christmas symbols and explained the  true meaning and  their significance.

The diversity in culture and tradition was reflected in the variety of Indian folk dance. An excellent performance was given by the  thomasian folk dancers of  grade VIII, which enthralled the audience. 

   Entire campus wore a festive look with bells, streamers and a beautifully decorated Christmas tree. Activities such as decorating Christmas Trees and Santa Claus competition were organized for the students. Winners were honoured by the Chief Guest Rev. Fr.Merris Leo.

Through this programme, the spirit of giving and sharing was inculcated among the tiny tots. The boundless joy of celebrating the festival was amply visible on the faces of the children especially when Santa moved for carols. The celebration ceased with Stanley blessing’s vote of thanks. Finally, Mr.Oscar, our Principal thanked and wished everyone.

Joyeux Noël et bonne année !


It was the turn of the students of IX-B to conduct the assembly on Monday 26 November 2018 and they did it splendidly. It began with the song,  invoking the Divine, seeking His blessings. Thereafter the theme of the day “CHARITY” was introduced by Clawrence Motha and Maria Snowhan. Daniel presented the  thought for the day, which  was succeeded by the Psalm recitation and Bible reading. Alan Jernish and Bharathi Balan gave thought-provoking  speeches on the day’s theme.The Principal honored those students who had partaken and won various competitions with certificates and medals.  Finally, the students of IX-B offered the school a few saplings. With the National Anthem, the assembly came to an end.


The little buds of class IV-B conducted today (22.11.18) the primary school assembly on the theme “PUNCTUALITY”. It commenced with the prayer song,  followed by Bible reading, Psalm  and Thirukkural recitation.The thought for the day was shared  by Selvi.Sunitha and Selvi.Philona.  Selvan .Karthikeyan and Selvi.Anushya spoke eloquently on the theme in Tamil and English.  A few children, bubbling with full of energy  enacted a skit, emphasizing the importance of  punctuality in the lives of students. It was well appreciated by all. It was followed by an action song that enthused everyone. Finally, the assembly got concluded with the singing of the National Anthem.


Young thomasians of class IX-A organized  today’s assembly (19.11.2018) on the theme “MOTIVATION”. They introduced the theme in an innovative manner by rendering a melodious and meaningful song.  Master. Kali Vignesh and Master.Joysten of IX-A exhibited their oratorical skills and inspired the assembly to get motivated. Following which,  awards and prizes were handed over to the academic toppers and to the winners of various sports events by the Principal. Having sung the National Anthem,  the assembly dispersed to the classrooms.
